Welcome to 'Gone to Carolina', a custom built home established in 2016. Formerly known as Toes in the Water. It was designed to maximize the unobstructed beach/ocean views, giving a sense of being one with nature, while enjoying the homes modern conveniences. This light and airy home is professionally decorated and well appointed. Bald Head Island Club membership is available but not included (please see new club details) and Shoals Club membership is also available. Beach walk begins at base of 20 Brown Pelican driveway.

- outdoor living space sheltered from the rain - large custom picnic table (seats 10-12)

- various bikes
- 1 six passenger golf cart and 1 four passenger golf cart

Bikes are not serviced or maintained by BHIR, therefore if they are not satisfactory we recommend renting bikes and umbrellas from Riverside Adventure Company or Coastal Urge.

Beautiful House on a Beautiful Island

Just back from a week’s vacation in this wonderful house. With 2 young kids its location right next to the beach access was super convenient, as were the beach accessories provided and the outdoor showers and foot wash, it made getting the kids to and from the beach and cleaned off a doddle. The bed in the master room may have been the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in (no exaggeration) and the kids loved sleeping in the cousin’s room bunk beds. The view from the balcony looking out over ocean was wonderful at all times of days. Just a great house to spend a week in on this magical island, it felt like a real home away from home, would throughly recommend.

Such a welcoming house, with attention to detail. This house has all the ingredients for a perfect beach vacation: spectacular views, porches with rocking chairs and outdoor lounge area, bikes, beach chairs and towels, beach toys, well appointed kitchen, attentive/friendly property manager.

Home is very nice. Well equipped kitchen is main attraction. Loved all the high quality beach chairs. Everything worked very well. Would prefer direct beach access vs public access. Overall experience was good.
